On the St. Helena Highway,
north of Rutherford Road, just south of Zinfandel Lane, on the
west side of the road, is the imposing red building of
Provenance Vineyards. Drive in and visit their tasting room,
which is among the finest we have seen, with attention to all
imaginable details. It is a comfortable room with extremely
tasteful decoration; a perfect match for the extremely fine
wines which are offered there. Liz Lease is the manager of the
Visitor Center and tasting room. Under her supervision, the
tasting experience is well worthwhile. We highly recommend a
visit to Provenance Vineyards during your stay in Napa Valley.
During 2007 we were fortunate
to visit Northern California several times, and had the
pleasure of visiting Provenance Vineyards. We would not want
to miss an opportunity to visit this great winery. The
winemaker is Tom Rinaldi, who is earning many credits, awards
and accolades for his creations.
OUR
CHOICES.
We tasted a range of wines,
Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet-Sauvignon, and Merlot. All the wines
were excellent and we rated all the wines in the 90's. |
